Adam Masava, a professional award winning Kenyan artist, and teacher tells of his life growing up in the Mukuru kwa Njenga in Nairobi, Kenya. He has risen to become one of best examples of growing and nurturing talent is in the art space in Kenya. In this series, he schools, Sambaza on how his journey has been and what it took to get here.
His works portray life in the informal settlement, giving detail and depth to the environment in which he grew up. He is spreading positive vibes and hope for people from informal settlements
His Mukuru Arts Club, which facilitates the new artists learn and his mentorship is spurring the growth of a new age artists from Nairobi.
He has toured the United States to showcase his art and sold paintings as he goes spreading the art of Kenya, in his eyes, to the world through his canvases.
