Andrew Ries of Performance Food Service Chemical Division
In Cleaning Processes with Jerry, we hear from Andrew Ries, Chemical and Beverage Manager at Performance Food Service. He discusses his career trajectory and various challenges he has faced, from industry consolidation to the new normal in the pandemic. The food, beverage, and chemical industries are not faint of heart.
Andrew started working in the food industry as a teenager, and he pivoted to panelized housing, but ultimately landed on a career in sales. As the pandemic started, his optimism wavered and he wasn’t himself. He reconnected with himself while earning a certificate in professional sales leadership. Now, Andrew takes what he learned as a CPSL and effectively manages teams and processes. He juggles countless moving parts of the business and puts out fires daily. As a problem-solver extraordinaire, Andrew shares his honest outlook on the industry. He shares his mission to find balance in his life.
Andrew is most looking forward to the return of food shows. He loves meeting new people, getting new ideas, and seeing innovation and technology.
