In just a short span, King has elevated Dayton Baseball to new heights in the Atlantic 10, guiding the Flyers to consecutive appearances in the Championship Game. The 2021 season witnessed the Flyers' impressive 12-4 conference play record, securing the second seed in the postseason tournament. Notably, the team displayed offensive prowess with 69 home runs, the third-highest in program history, and a formidable pitching performance, striking out 436 opposing hitters.
King's impact extends beyond the field, with two Flyers selected in the MLB Draft in July 2021, marking a historic moment for the program. This achievement, coupled with Dayton's improved conference winning percentage, showcases King's ability to foster both individual player development and team success.
