In this special episode, Rachel has the opportunity to speak with the two former co-directors of the M&T Bank Center for Women & Business, Dr. Julia Fullick- Jagiela and Dr. Kiku Jones. During the Fall semester, they have announced it will be their last semester as Co-Directors. Julia and Kiku have tirelessly led the Center and have had a significant impact on the Quinnipiac community. They have grown the Center to become a place that brings together community across Quinnipiac, local businesses, nonprofits, and government workplaces. They have created endless opportunities to students and faculty in addition to providing meaningful, consistent support and connectivity. Dr. Julia Fullick-Jagiela is an Associate Professor of Management and Chair of Management at Quinnipiac. Her work is centered on redefining leadership development practice to include diverse leader voices and experience. She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and B.S., Honors in the Major in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. As an IO Psychologist, she centers employee well-being in everything she does. In her roles as Associate Professor and Chair of Management, she is passionate in advocating for advancing women in the workforce and encourages her students to be catalysts for inclusive and equitable change. In 2011, she was awarded the William R. Jones Most Valuable Mentor Award from the Florida Education Fund and in 2015 was awarded the Quinnipiac University Pi Beta Phi Certificate of Excellence in Teaching Award. She is the founding faculty advisor for SHRM@QU, a Superior Merit Award winning student chapter. 

Dr. Kiku Jones is Professor of Business Analytics & Information Systems and Chair of Business Analytics & Information Systems. Her work is focused on building empowered student leaders equipped both professionally and personally. Dr. Jones earned her Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Information Systems from the University of Kentucky and her B.S. in Computer Information Systems and MBA from Western Kentucky University. In the classroom, she promotes diversity and inclusion as well as challenges her students to become leaders in the community. She is passionate about building a strong sharing community of women and their allies and is also particularly interested in the challenges women of color encounter. In 2017, she received Quinnipiac University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 (last year of the award), she was the recipient of the Quinnipiac University CIS Society’s Professor of the Year. In 2008, she received the University of Tulsa’s Mayo Excellence in Teaching Award.
