In this episode, we have two very special guests, the winner of our Women of Influence Full-time Faculty and Staff Award Molly Yanity and Kristen Casamento. This award aims to recognize the achievements of women and allies in the Quinnipiac community. Thank you for inspiring others to advocate for a more inclusive and equitable environment.
Kristen Casamento is in her fourth year at Quinnipiac and was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Academic Support earlier this year. She also serves as the Athletic Diversity and Inclusion Designee for the last three years. Prior to Quinnipiac, Casamento held the position of Academic Advisor and Learning Specialist at the University of Rhode Island, where she worked together with student-athletes to educate them on their eligibility and academic progress.
Molly Yanity is an Associate Professor, the Chair of Journalism, and the Director of the Graduate Program in Journalism at Quinnipiac University. Prior to joining academia, she was a sports reporter for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The Daily Pilot.
