In this episode, I sit down with my Dominican brother-in-arms, Rafael Fernández Marmolejos, an avid fan and collector of brutal death metal records, a regular contributor to the NO CLEAN SINGING blogzine and our inhouse Spanish translator of subtitles for our documetary EXTREME NATION that I helped produce along with director and comrade, Roy Dipankar. Raf is one of the members of my very international inner circle of heavy metal aficionados WhatsApp group called Interdeath - which I have discussed briefly in my previous podcasts. This is a long form interview, wherein we dig deep into Raf's roots growing up in Dominican Republic, and migrating to Italy and United States - starting a family, becoming a dad and still sticking to the love of heavy metal in through his 40s.
