Today's interview is with Sergio Yanes.  Sergio is going into his 4th year at Arvada as a CTE teacher.  This year he is scheduled to teach Communication and Journalism, Intro to Teaching, AP Lang, Photojournalism, and Sports Broadcasting.  He is also our yearbook editor, for which he has won multiple awards.

In our conversation, Sergio opens up about his experiences as a student of color in a predominately white school in Florida and how this influenced both his decision to become a teacher and how he teaches.  He talks in detail about personal and professional connections to Arvada's big focus for the year - equity.
