A Couple Questions

Before everything got locked down, we sat down with David and Natalie and talked about what it is like to have a relationship where one person is an extrovert and the other is an introvert. There is actually a lot that needs to be balanced to make this work, and David and Natalie have been crushing it for 19 years. 

We hung out with Jess and Tracy and learned about their relationship and got great relationship advice such as communication is key, it is important to be true partners, and everything would be better if partners could have two separate houses with a bridge in between! It's a relationship that began with angry mopping, and the story continues as they work together to raise kids and grow as a couple in a heteronormative society. 

We visited Julia and Michael and checked out the new furniture they bought when the kids moved out. In this episode, we learned that empty nesting has its upsides, but it can also be really hard to have the kids leave home. This episode pairs best with a glass (or two) of Pinot Noir and a plate of Girl Scout cookies. Get cozy and learn about one family's experience when the kids leave the nest!

In this episode, we talk to a married couple, Stacy and Rob. Stacy is a passionate liberal, while Rob is a self-proclaimed "pretty-far-right conservative." We learn how they manage to keep things civil and respectful, and they even learn to hear each other's perspective when it seems like the rest of the United States is bickering. 

In this episode, we learn how Justin and Jill work together to help manage her chronic illness: diabetes. We cry a little, we laugh a little, and we do it all while drinking LaCroix. Listen in as Justin and Jill give helpful advice on how to be there for your partner when they are managing a chronic illness.
