So much potential, but by book 9 I'm getting tired of waiting for it to be fulfilled.
This series both delights and infuriates me. Firstly, the pacing is hideous. After chapters of development the author tries to wrap things up in haste. It has not been satisfactory for the last several entries.. This time to boot the story ends in a heck of a cliffhanger, which isn't the done thing in this genre. Finally, please let this author's publishers hire a decent copy editor for the next book. There are egregious errors (comfortable where context makes clear the word should read uncomfortable) and some truly twisted syntax.

Characters still living life through a spider's web knots and tangelos. Stumbling through clues to solve as amateurs the mysteries of the castle both old and new. Just when you think they've got it...To be continued. Enough to infuriated the loyal reader that ordinarily would have to wait for a subsequent publication to put an end to this, however I am playing catch-up and will continue on and wrap up this series. If it indeed has an end.

Seriously! Ugh, loved the books but enough with dragging out all the "secrets" and the horrible cliffhanger at the end is just annoying. Mysteries do not do to be continued's!
LOVE EUPHREMIA MARTIN - A WOMAN AHEAD OF HER TIME
l thoroughly enjoy these books, they move along, and are hard to put down, Ephremia is bright,daring, spirited and analytical. She has a charitable nature among all her investigations and if you like Tommy and Tuppence from Agatha Christie, this book is for you

I like this series of books but I'm sorry that I wasn't warned that this contains only part of the story which will be finished in another book.
