A major decision that changed the the entire face of Indian politics and gave way to a new government. The decision which saw an uprising and opposition pan India, the '1975 Emergency' remains as a black spot in the history of Independent India. The than Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi faced oppositions in most of her decision and to make a way she tried to supress the voices against her government. Citing resons like nationa security, probable decline of growth due to strikes from public, Indira Gandhi imposed the emergency on 25th June 1975. Numerous political leaders, journalists were put behind bars for taking stand against government. Goa was also no far from the effect of the emergency.
