A Defining Moment: Ep. 1 with Helen Garcia-Alton

In 2001, Charlie and Angie Flynn-McIver, a couple with roots in North Carolina, moved from New York City to found North Carolina Stage Company.  We have been producing professional theatre in Asheville for over 16 years!

We are dedicated to creating theatre that is as consequential as it is entertaining.  Our dedication to artistic excellence and exploration includes our Education programming and Community Engagement. 

NC Stage has been voted best local theatre 10 out of the past 11 years in the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC Poll. NC Stage was also recently awarded the American Theatre Wing National Theatre Company Grant.
