Thank you so much Rocky for sharing your career – and life – journey with me – with us – today on the playground.

Getting to work with Rocky with the Empowering Newcomer Women (ENW) program at World Skills is a joy. He is kind, thoughtful and really knows his stuff.

Rocky grew up and went to school in Nigeria and shared his appreciation of boarding school and his town of Warri. We learned of his journey to university and what his career was like after he graduated.

We spoke about the value of having an effective teacher, and the significance of being in the right headspace when it comes to making decisions.

As it is Rocky’s first Ottawa winter, I could not help but give him some cold weather fashion advice. 😊

He lives by the Golden Rule – do unto others as you would have done unto you. Deliberate, analytical, and with a strong dedication to providing exceptional customer service, I am really glad he found his first job in Canada at World Skills.
