It is very common to think of Christianity as a religion. A religion can often be thought of as something we do, or something that we must orchestrate ourselves. If this is true, then we are the ones who are running things.

What makes Christianity different is that we do not, and cannot, store it way with all the other religions of the world. We learn that there exists a Sovereign Lord of the universe who is separate from any religion that exists in this world. This Sovereign Lord calls people out of this world. Once so called, we no longer have a religion that is run by humanity. We have a relationship that is alive by the power of God. We are saved through the sacrifice of Christ and made alive through the power of the Holy Spirit.
