On the way to the Kagerie Observation Deck, I diverted into a spirit-infested building that demanded attention. Using stealth and controlled aggression, I eliminated Rain Walkers and Students of Misery floor by floor.

I decided to head for the Kagerie Observation Deck straight, but my journey was interrupted when I passed a building teeming with trapped spirits. The sheer number of lost souls anchored to the structure was impossible to ignore. I decided to delay my primary objective to step inside and offer what help I could.

A Rain Walker and a Paper Doll were patrolling the lower halls, acting as jailers for the spirits. I stayed low, moving through the shadows until I was directly behind the Rain Walker. I took him down with a silent strike and immediately began absorbing the spirits he was guarding.

With the area slightly clearer, I turned my focus to the Paper Doll and neutralized it before it could alert the rest of the building.

Moving further in, I encountered a more disturbing scene. A specialized Rain Walker carrying a jagged machete was standing alongside a Student of Misery. The two demons were actually laughing at the spirits they were tormenting.

I didn't rush in immediately. I shifted my position to a different piece of cover, using the opportunity to absorb a few more nearby spirits.

The confrontation was swift. I went for the Rain Walker first, taking away his machete before he could swing it, and finished him off. The Student of Misery tried to counter-attack, but I stayed aggressive and took her down right after.

No sooner had I finished them, another Student of Misery manifested to replace her; I made quick work of her as well, ensuring the floor was clear.

I climbed to the floor above, but I was spotted almost instantly. A group of Rain Walkers began pursuing me, and started throwing random objects to stagger me.

I actually tried to pull up the photo mode to capture the intensity of the fight, but the demons were way too active. They kept attacking me even while I was trying to frame the shot.

I realized I had to put the camera away and take care of the threat first. I unleashed a burst of energy to clear the space around me, finally silencing the aggressive spirits.

After absorbing the spirits on that level, I continued my ascent. On the highest floor, I found one last Rain Walker. Like the one below, she was carrying a machete and seemed preoccupied, laughing at something only she could see.

I crossed the floor silently, weaving between the rusted pillars until I was within reach. I took her down with a final stealth execution. With her gone, the building felt lighter, the oppressive laughter was gone, and the spirits were finally free.

We'll continue in another post.
