Ask any Christian what the gospel message is and you will get varying degrees of the same answer: Jesus died on the cross for my sins. Is it possible that this standard answer is not only limited but quite self-centered? Does the common Christian use of "the gospel" as a type of "get out of hell free" card miss the point? Does the Bible warn about those who preach a different gospel?
