Mark, chapter 10, beginning at verse 13, “Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.'”

Visiting an Apple computer center recently I was struck by how different this next generation is from my own. They seem to communicate with their thumbs and no longer with their mouths. I stood there wondering, “How can I reach them? How would it be possible.” Later that week I read a survey answered by them stating that in church, they don’t want light and smoke shows or tech-savvy presentations. They just want somebody to care about them because they are lonely. I thought I can do that. Maybe I can be one of the fathers whose hearts turn towards the children as the Old Testament says it will.
