When we come to David’s enormous failure we are taken back. This is David, God’s king. How could this have happened to him? This failure has been written about and talked about more than any other  failure in the Bible. Scripture does not try to hide the unsavory parts of biblical characters. It paints them warts and all. We can all thank God that our lives are not being written for the world to see.
