AAHKS Diversity Advisory Group Co-Chair, Muyibat A. Adelani, MD, sat down with Michael Mont, MD, the Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Arthroplasty (JOA) to discuss the purpose of AAHKS’ Diversity Advisory Group (DAB) which is to promote diversity and inclusion within AAHKS. They also discussed and summarized five articles on diversity that was recently published in a JOA issue. Dr. Mont posed very interesting questions that ignited a healthy conversation such as what are the major issues in diversity, are things going in the right direction and what can surgeons do from an educational standpoint to help?
