I am a 61 year old, low vision individual who currently is married. I have been visually impaired for my whole life in my earlier career. I was a pastor of a southern Baptist church, and currently executive Director of Diverse Opportunities For The Visually Impaired. I have one daughter. Who is also visually impaired and has another Disability. My wife is also blind. In my free time when I have it. I enjoy doing yardwork, genealogy, and reading.
I also have a degree as a chef in culinary arts on top of a couple other degrees.

We offer our participants resources and opportunities that will remove uncertainty and unpredictability and replace it with confidence, contribution, and competition. While we strive to educate the general public and change misconceptions along with providing a support system that enables individuals who are low vision or blind to experience equality. In their daily life’s and at work.Our programs and services offered will allow are clients live a productive and offer them a “Hand up, not a Hand Out”.
