Today's talk from Charles Fillmore is titled "A Divided Mind." Mr. Fillmore uses the Hebrew Bible story of the young king who comes into power and listens to his young advisors, rather than the elder statesmen of his father's rule, and doubles the taxes on the people of Israel. This story is told in 1 Kings 12:12-20. As you can imagine, this does not go over well, and pretty soon there is a change in kingship again. Mr. Fillmore uses this story to illustrate what can happen in one's consciousness. This was a Sunday morning lesson he gave on April 6, 1924, and its message applies today.
