Through the Advent season we looked at the incarnation as told through the lens of some of the New Testament writers. This week we have one more birth narrative in scripture that is rarely discussed, Revelation 12.

This section John’s vision uses the sign of a woman and a dragon to show that Jesus, who the empire sought to devour both through Herod and later on the cross, was snatched up by God into heaven and won the final victory over sin and death.
