Put a seed in the soil, give it some water and some sunlight, and sit back. In time, you’ll have a lesson in God’s plan!

In the Gospels, Jesus gave a word-picture for the kingdom of God, and He points to a garden and the man who planted it. In Mark chapter 4 it’s obvious that you and I plant, but it’s God who makes things grow.

And just as that’s true in a backyard vegetable garden or the pines of east Texas, it’s true in our families, as well.

You are planting seeds of truth and value and confidence in your child. Keep it up! Sit back and watch. It is God who will take those seeds, root them deeply, and enrich your teen’s life!
