I HATE it when anyone uses the term “authoritarian leadership” because it is completely inaccurate. Authoritarianism is not leadership. It is the enforcement of obedience to an arbitrary authority figure at the expense of personal freedom (that includes personal safety & survival). Authoritarians are characterized by their lack of concern for others; making them completely antithetical to genuine leaders.
My name is Tricia Sulpizio & I am your host for another episode of tea & bedtime stories, a podcast for anyone who likes stories & stories about stories.
In this episode, we will continue reading A Farewell to Arms, a novel by Ernest Hemingway, published in 1929. Last time, we read chapter EIGHT in book ONE, & now I will continue the story with chapter NINE. It’s a long chapter so I will be reading it in TWO parts. We will begin with part one. After reading half of the chapter, I will follow up with quick facts & my impressions.
I look forward to talking to you soon. Thanks for listening!
