Here, the production team of "Frankie the Magicorn" give their advice for trans youth and extend their Father's Day well-wishes to all those folks out there that could use a magicorn hug today.

A Father's Day Greeting from Frankie the Podcast

Frankie the Magicorn tells the story of a trans magicorn and his journey of transition. 

 "Frankie the Podcast" is our companion podcast with interviews of trans individuals about their lives and experiences, as well as discussions of trans issues, and writers' meetings charting the progress of the cartoon for full transparency. 

We'll be telling his story through an eleven-minute, fully-animated short film to be produced over a period of eight to twelve months, to be released in July of 2020.

Frankie's story is important, though not as important as the stories of millions of trans Americans whose struggle continues to be marginalized. Most people, unless they actively seek out information like interviews with Laverne Cox, only know two things: 1) People are whatever gender they identify as and should be addressed with the right pronouns and 2) Don't ask about what's downstairs. Many people don't even know that much. There's so much more that people need to know and a lot they're afraid to ask. Cartoons and animated media have the capacity to educate and reach so many. Violence against trans people in the current social climate is rising and one of the best ways to fight the ignorance that fuels or instigates it is through compassionate education. And it'll be in rhyme because we're amazing.
