120: A Film About a Radial Cure for Chronic Pain -An Interview With The Producers of This Might Hurt

In this episode I am joined by Marion Cunningham and Kent Bassett, the producers of the Film, This Might Hurt. This Might Hurt is a documentary that offers solutions to cure chronic pain. The film follows three chronic pain patients who have spent years searching for answers. Desperate for relief, they enter a new medical program — run by Dr. Howard Schubiner — that focuses on uncovering hidden causes of pain, and retraining their brains to switch the pain off.

Kent and Marion spent over five years filming and editing this feature documentary in their off time between paid film & TV projects. Since it was challenging to track down funding, they invested their own free time and savings into the film on nights and weekends, with the help of a few key supporters. The film had its world premiere at Austin Film Festival and is now in the midst of a two-year community screenings campaign.
