Today on the IDEAfit PRO SHOW, we welcome Nicki Anderson, who spent 20 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, entrepreneur and subject matter expert on the business of fitness. In addition to owning and operating her unique training model at Reality Fitness for 19 years in Naperville, Illinois, Nicki was one of the earliest women leaders on the fitness event circuit to emphasize the importance of studying business fundamentals and running a tight, profitable model. She was named IDEA’s 2008 Personal Trainer of the Year.
What’s so special about talking to Nicki today is that she’s been outside of fitness for the past 9 years. After selling her brick & mortar in 2012 she took on successive leadership roles beyond fitness that challenged her to problem solve on many levels. We’ll get the benefit of her view on the fitness industry through the lenses of hindsight and learned experiences as the President and CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, and as the director of the LEADS program at Benedictine University.
