The fabulous Carol Metcalf is my guest on episode 12 of “The Answer Me Love Podcast.” She’s a comedian, doctor, and among other complimentary words, a comedian.

She is currently producing a documentary, “It Hurts When I Don’t Laugh.”

Carol and I talk about her experience being the daughter of a veteran, and the work she does with veterans now. “Honor” is a constant theme throughout the episode. Carol used two phrases I won’t forget, “a fully realized life” and “reframing the ironic.”

As far as love and relationships are concerned, Carol tells me about her hippy wedding at 19, meeting the love of her life Bernie on “Plenty of Fish,” a long marriage in-between the two, and opens up to me about her first kiss. I’d like to call this episode 1 with Carol, because I had so many more questions for her, and I'm hoping she will come back for episode 2.
