You know how it is, you spend your teenage years in the army, decide you don't like it, go on holiday instead, and develop a fascination with English parks and also Vesuvius. Tale as old as time, or at least it is for Prince Leopold III who was probably the ultimate gap year student, at least, one who was able to build a volcano.
