Kiwi composer Claire Cowan’s year has been full of praise. Her commission for NZ Trio was featured on their Tui winning Classical Album of the year. Claire’s ensemble Blackbird also gained applause for its concert performing the music of Bjork, arranged by Cowan for her genre defying group. She speaks to Clarissa Dunn about her creative process and working with other talented New Zealand artists.
