A glimpse of a day by Dr. Olurotimi Komolafe
Dr. Komolafe is currently undergoing a 2-year clinical fellowship in
pediatric general radiology at Canada’s foremost children’s hospital –
the Hospital for Sick Children.
Prior to his fellowship, he worked as a consultant radiologist at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
In addition to his basic medical degree, and being a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (Faculty of Radiology), he holds a bachelor’s degree in human anatomy.
Rotimi is driven by a passion to reduce the training and practice gaps in pediatric radiology across sub-saharan Africa.
He currently serves as the secretary general of the Society of Pediatric Imaging in Nigeria, and also sits on the website and Interventional Radiology Committees of the American Society for Pediatric Radiology.
Furthermore, he currently serves as an assistant editor on the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) case collection trainee editorial board.
Dr. Komolafe will participate in the 60th Annual Meeting of the Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Radiologie e.V. (GPR) from September 14-16, 2023 in Vienna - together with his colleague Prof. Dr. Atalabi. We are very pleased that this special collaboration will be launched within the framework of this anniversary event.
