We have a challenge before us as human beings. The challenge is to be able to understand why so many bad things happen in this world. Case in point: there are people who think it is a good thing to highjack a few fully loaded passenger jets for the purpose of flying them directly into fully loaded skyscrapers. The horror that followed was beyond imagination. It happened for real on what we call 9/11.

Over 2,500 years ago, Habakkuk was also puzzled about the evil in this world. He cried out to God: "How long, O LORD!" Nothing has changed in 2,500 years and change does not appear to be on the horizon. We all can cry out just like Habakkuk. The question remains, then, is there an answer? Yes. God gave Habakkuk an answer he could accept. We all are invited to do the same today.
