element of living that we all see. People and relationships are

essential to living full of life. The difference for believers is that

we value community with our brothers and sisters in Christ as the

primary and best way to experience the life we’re designed to get from

relationships. We can (and do) have all kinds of relationships, for all

kinds of purposes. But our relationships with the people in our church

are essential and non-negotiable. Unfortunately, almost all believers

act like they are optional: only 36% of Catholics attend church weekly,

while only 45% of Protestants attend church weekly. This is more than

just a numbers game. A large part of what the Lord has for you in His

gift of life is tied to your connection with the people in your church.

Let’s look today at this reality and ask the Lord to help us respond in a

way the brings us to life!
