Psalms 103:8-18 NLT
Premise ⁃Whether your natural father was present, absent, or partially in your life we have this assurance, that we have a Heavenly Father who is good no matter the circumstances, situation, or predicament that we may face or find ourselves in. He is good even we are bad.
Scriptural Insight
1.The Lord’s mercy and compassion towards us is fueled by love causing His anger to be slow rather than expedient as we deserve.
Psalms 103:8 NLT
2.Although the Lord disciplines those He loves, He is not interested in pouring out accusation upon us as He could nor does He allow His anger to remain forever. Our Heavenly Father extends grace and mercy even we deserve punishment.
Psalms 103:9-10 NLT
3.God’s love towards us is more than we can ever imagine or even comprehend. This is why it is sometimes extremely difficult to believe that all the wrong we have done is forgiven.
Psalms 103:11-12 NLT
4.The Lord understands the frailties, proclivities, and challenges of the human condition. This empathy towards us causes patience in order that we may repent and turn to Him with urgency considering our time here on earth is short.
Psalms 103:13-16 NLT
5.The responsibility of the grateful is to respond to the love of God by keeping His word, following His instructions, and staying put in His will. We do this not out of fear as we know it but honor and reverence.
