I love the message of Proverbs 12:25 - "Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad." What is the cheapest and easiest gift? Give a good word away! It can make a sad heart glad. Such love will not cost you anything but will be a healing deposit to the account of the one who is struggling.
