I interview Trish about her recovery from alcoholism. Interview was conducted on Friday April 10th during the Covid-19 pandemic. We conducted the interview via Zoom.
Trish came to speak to my Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) when I sought help initially for substance abuse in January of 2019. She was a speaker at that meeting and although he doesn't remember me in this class, she and another speaker were instrumental in helping me find FAVOR of Greenville, an all pathways addiction recovery organization. She is such a wonderful person and I have truly enjoyed becoming friends with Trish. We both were on the FAVOR bowling league this past fall and it is the friendships and activities in recovery that so many of us use to rise out of the ashes of addiction.
If you or someone you know suffers addiction, please know that THERE IS A WAY OUT! You deserve to rise from that despair and build a life that you are proud of. I encourage you to seek out recovery avenues in your area. You can find those resources such as AA, NA, Al-Anon and others via the internet. If you need help I am available to assist you or your loved ones. Please reach out to me at [email protected] and I will get you some contacts.
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or want to be a guest on the show, please contact me at [email protected]. Enjoy the discussion with Trish!
