<p>In 1922 the Massachusetts National Guard came to Barnstable for their summer camp training at Camp Perkins. With two regiments came 400 horses with 600 National Guardsmen. They used Sandy Neck for target practice with live ammo and visited downtown Osterville for their free time. Were the residents upset? Stay tuned. </p>
