Members Reviews:
a brief and fair historical overview
This is not an exhaustive study but an abbreviated overview, historical and analytical, of Cuba
The book is great; the reading is terrible!
Would you try another book from Aviva Chomsky and/or Chris Snelgrove?
Certainly by the author; not necessarily by the reader, unless it were an all-English text.
What didnt you like about Chris Snelgroves performance?
Snelgrove unfortunately butchers most of the Spanish and French-language names and phrases in the book. With so many references to Cuban words, phrases, and historical personae, it seems it would have been worth the time to learn to pronounce them. This mispronunciation (sometimes drastic mispronunciation) takes away from the listening experience.
OMG please move to Havana
If the US is so evil and Cuba so great, why doesn't the author live in Havana?
