Cash Me If You Can

A holistic view of our International Supply Chain Dynamics (ft. The Global Semiconductor Shortage)

Nothing is available anymore. Not quite literally, there is nothing you can buy no matter how much you are willing to pay for it. A new laptop? How about a 1-month waitlist? The new iPhone perhaps? Yes sure, just available for pickup in 3 months. What? Do you want a PS5? Good, pay the scalpers $2000 on eBay. Anything and everything that operates on silicon, as in semiconductors, it’s just not available the lockdowns. "Because the factories were closed and there was not enough production" might be your answer but well, the reality is a little more complicated than that. You must have heard terms before like “the global chip shortage“ or the  "global semiconductor shortage“ but in today’s episode, we obviously analyze that but go well beyond into the realm of our current supply chain structure, the frailties in the past and the challenges it faces going forwards, recovering in a post-pandemic world. And yeah, this is way beyond just silicon. From empty containers to trade wars, we have a lot to uncover today to get to the root of understanding what is exactly wrong. And as always, Thank You so much for taking the time in listening as well as reading this.
