Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is a Japanese anime produced by Production I.G, which ran from 2002 to 2005. It aired in Japan on Nippon TV and in the US on Adult Swim: Toonami block.

The anime is set in 2030 cyberpunk Japan. It follows the main protagonist, Major Mokoto Kusanagi, and the rest of Public Security Section 9 as they hunt down the mastermind, the Laughing Man.
