A Journey to Atlan

Researcher Randall Carlson and others have speculated Atlantis is located under the Azores islands, west of the Straits of Gibraltar, as Plato described. This region is called the Azores Plateau where three major tectonic plates meet; North American, Eurasian and African plate. Carlson proposes a section of this region was raised through “Isostatic Adjustments” caused by the weight of the glacial ice on the earth’s mantle during the last Ice Age. According to NOAA (National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration) this theory can be imagined when lying down on a mattress. The indentation it creates pressure on the tectonic plates while the puffy area surrounding it, is where the land rises. But, once the glacials melted, the pressure was released and by increasing sea levels, the sea bottom returned to its natural shape, sinking Atlantis

Google Maps Coordinates for Nymph Falls: 39.40754, -31.24161) - Standard Format: 39°24'27.1"N 31°14'29.8"W) both are approximately the same coordinates written in different formats.

Note: Google Maps uses a different format for coordinates to ensure standardization, compatibility, and accuracy. It accepts various coordinate formats and converts them to a standard format, typically decimal degrees, for consistency across its platform. This standardization avoids errors, ensures compatibility with different devices and systems, and simplifies sharing and usage of coordinates. By maintaining a uniform format, Google Maps reduces the risk of misinterpretation and rounding errors, enhancing user convenience and accuracy in navigation and location services. When you click on a google map with your mouse, a coordinate will appear on the screen, this is the coordinate I used in the table below.
