What does it look like to serve people in their darkest hour?
In this episode, I sit down with my dear friend Taylor Mendoza, a funeral director, embalmer, wife, mother of two, and Ms. Universe TCP 2023–2024. Taylor lives in a space most of us avoid, and she does it with extraordinary compassion, grace, and purpose.
We talk about why she chose this work, what it means to care for families when their world has just shattered, and how her heart for others led her to create the No Whispers Foundation.
Taylor’s mission is simple and sacred: to ensure that children whose lives were taken by domestic violence are not forgotten. Through No Whispers, she helps provide funeral services for these children, giving families dignity, care, and a way to say goodbye when the unthinkable has happened.
This conversation isn’t heavy. It’s beautiful. It’s human. It’s about service, calling, and what it means to show up when it matters most.
Taylor lends her voice where there once was only silence.
And in doing so, she reminds us all what it looks like to love people well.
