Part One of this class explores the historical setting and context for the leadership characteristics listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. We will consider the lives of early Christians in their ancient societies as well as their communal life together in order to better understand the kinds of virtues that emerge as essential for leaders in the community.
