Not Your Average Girl

A letter from my 16 year old self

Listen Later

Sarah introduces Jess for our first solo episode. While searching through her old journals, Jess found several notes she had written as a teenager struggling with anxiety, self worth and body image. Jess wanted to share what it was like to read these thoughts 10 years later from a much different place, hoping to demonstrate how life does get better.

Please be kind, as this episode is extremely personal and vulnerable. This may be triggering to those struggling with dark and depressive thoughts. Like always, we encourage you to seek professional help if you are having these sorts of thoughts.

If you're dealing with depression or anxiety, don't struggle alone. Please reach out for help. You are loved. You are valid. And you deserve to find peace.
