April is #autismawarenessmonth. 

Nikki Hughes is an activist, advocate, and mother of three children. Two of her children are autistic and Nikki herself got diagnosed as an adult. 

In this episode, she shares her experiences on the pathway to her adult diagnosis. We talk about her day to day experience as an autistic person and what she wishes people would know about autism – race, ethnicity, culture, ableism, and the importance of a community.
