A Literary Tribute to Chef Gail Hall

For over two decades, Gail Hall was a fixture of the food scene in Edmonton and Japser. The event, Christmas In November, became synonymous with her and was the highlight of the year at the Jasper Park Lodge. She also became familiar to anyone who watched TV or listened on the radio as she championed the Edmonton food scene and local producers. Hall died in 2016 from cancer and her life and passions are being celebrated in a new book. Broadcaster, chef, and friend of Gail's, Twyla Campbell spearheaded the cookbook called "Maps, Markets and Matzo Ball Soup." It collects favourite recipes, business advice and also serves as a biography for Gail Hall's life and work. Author Twyla Campbell and Gail's husband, Jon Hall, joined Russell Bowers on Daybreak to look back on Chef Gail Hall's remarkable legacy.
