Chronic pain is one of the main reasons patients seek medical care in the United States. Cannabis is being investigated as an alternate to opioid therapy due the potential to decrease opioid requirements and a better safety profile compared to opioids. This session will review cannabis use as an analgesic and highlight the pharmacist consultative role in cannabis education for pain.
