The war is over. There is peace now all around. The joy of victory is on everyone's face. The Mongol army has not completely driven out of Tsushima Island but the rescue of Lord Shimura is a great success. It is an important step on the path to victory.
Jin Sakai was spending some time sitting under a tree. In this spot, he had fought a terrible battle with his friend Ryuzo last night. He was thinking about those events in his mind.
Just then, Yuna arrives. She reminds Jin that Jin promised her that he would help her leave Tsushima after rescuing Lord Shimura. Jin also promises to keep his word and says that he will talk to his uncle first.
Two of them head towards the main fort, where Lord Shimura is now staying. Castle Kaneda has now become a refuge for many people. Many people from the surrounding area whose homes were destroyed by the Mongols have come here for refuge.
Jin entered, and then Jin and Lord Shimura started talking. Lord Shimura told Jin that he had fought all this time without following the rules of samurai honor. He was a little unhappy about this. He also admitted that if Jin had not fought like that, it might not have been possible to rescue him today.
Jin then discussed the matter of Yuna. He says he promised Yona he would safely send her to the mainland. Lord Shimura agrees, but with one condition. He says that the Mongols still occupy their original castle. After recovering it, he will arrange for Yuna and his brother to be sent safely to the mainland.
Before going to the stables, Jin climbed to the roof of the castle. He had never seen Tsushima's surroundings from such a high place before. The green nature around him, the mountains, and the distant view, all together, made the place look incredibly beautiful.
Then he goes downstairs to the stables. There he meets Yuna again. Jin tells her everything. Yuna is a little disappointed to hear Lord Shimura's conditions, because she wanted to quickly get her brother to a safe place.
Jin and Lord Shimura set off on horseback. They talked a lot. Jin asked his uncle if he had ever spoken to Khotun Khan. Lord Shimura said yes and he had never seen such a cunning, cruel, and dangerous man before.
As they talked like this, they reached a beautiful garden. The trees all around, the peaceful atmosphere of nature, and the running of deer, all together make the place very beautiful. On their way, they passed by a cemetery, where many brave warriors were buried.
They moved towards an open field. But before they reached it, they smelled the smell of burning in the air. As they approached, they saw a horrific scene, Burned fields, destroyed farms, and burned bodies. Lord Shimura realized that Khotun Khan had done this on purpose. He had killed all the farmers and burned the farms so that Tsushima would have a food shortage during the winter.
