It’s been one year since Governor JB Pritzker started shutting down the local economy to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Since then, more than 1.2 million Illinoisans have contracted the virus and nearly 21,000 residents have died.

WBEZ’s Dave McKinney spoke to the governor on the one-year anniversary of his coronavirus response. He joins Reset to discuss why Pritzker is feeling optimistic about the future.
