A Loophole in the 10,000 Hour Rule

Listen Later

I mix a hidden message in Greenlights with the 10,000 hour rule to suggest a possible route to a fulfilling life.

The 10,000 Hour Rule

In his book the Outliers, Malcom Gladwell observes that musicians do ~10,000 hours of practise before getting famous, and Bill Gates did ~10,000 of programming before he created Microsoft. He uses this pattern to suggest that  10,000 hours of practise will make you an expert in anything; the 10,000 hour rule.
