BIG IDEA: You can bring the wilderness of your heart to your Lord, remembering and rejoicing that His steadfast love is better than life.
I. The Way of Remembrance
- We need to remember who, what, and whose we are.
- We need to remember where we are and why we're here.
- But even more so, we need the anchor point of knowing who God is.
“The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty” (Ex. 34:6-7)
II. The Way of Rejoicing
- Rejoicing results from Reappraisal
- Rejoicing is resolute before there is resolution
Ps. 42:11 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.
